Notice that both 6 ♦ and 6 NT are better from south. Although both contracts do not allow you to fully test spades before losing to the ♦ Q. A club switch at that point will often give declarer a guess. Here 6 NT from south will make as two rounds of spades can be afforded before having to commit to the club finesse.
Perhaps south should finish in 6 NT. Perhaps north should not bid 3 NT with the weak clubs.
In any case both contracts are favourites from either north or south.
