After 3 NT south should be optimistic. We need some work to decide when or even if to show the five card major and if so which bid will show that.
Here if south bid 4 ♥ and got a negative 4 NT reply then south would just have to guess 6 ♣ with a bad suit. On the other hand starting with 4 ♣ (or a higher cue agreeing clubs) risks missing a heart contract.
Note our agreement is RKCB 1430 except when clubs are agreed when we play 3014. That explains the 5 ♦ bid with one key-card.
